What we collect

You don't need an account to watch. Your browser stores a random ID, your watch progress, saved episodes and settings on your device. To learn which stories people keep watching, the app sends anonymous viewing events to our servers: what you played, for how long, and whether you finished, saved or shared it. We don't collect your name, email, phone number or IP address in these events.

Optional sign-in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google, your watch progress and My list are kept with your Bic7 account so they follow you to other browsers and devices. Google tells us a stable account ID and your email address. We store:

We don't store your email, name or photo. Your email is shown only on your own device, so you know which account is signed in. Signing in keeps a session token in your browser. Sign out (at the bottom of the Library) ends your sessions on every device; Delete account deletes everything above from our servers (see how to delete your account). Either way, the progress and list on your device stay. Accounts unused for two years are deleted automatically. Sign-in is not available inside the TikTok or Instagram apps' browsers.

The Bic7 apps for iPhone and Android

The apps work like the website and need no account. They collect:

The apps contain no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics, don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and don't read your advertising ID. When you install from an ad, the app learns which episode the ad showed and the ad's campaign tags: on Android from the Play Store link; on iPhone, the Get the app button stores them for one hour under a one-way hash of your network address (the first three parts of your IP address) and phone type, and the app's first launch on the same network collects and deletes them. Nothing else about your device is used for this.

Advertising partners

When you arrive from an ad, Meta and TikTok pixels may run on Bic7 to measure whether the ad led to viewing. They receive events such as “started a story”, “saved an episode” and “came back another day”, with a story ID but no personal details from us. Meta and TikTok may combine this with information they already have under their own privacy policies.

Retention

We keep viewing events, which are tied only to a random browser ID, so we can measure how viewers come back over months. Inactive notification subscriptions and app push tokens are removed after 90 days. “Get the app” links expire after one hour. Account data is kept until you delete the account, or for two years after its last use.
